Features of some Applications can be use in classroom

Introduction:

At the beginning we can say that "The dog ate my homework" has been replaced by "the printer wasn't working!". Computer is the most important machine that have been using since 20 years ago till today, especially in language learning field, because of that the learners and the instructors must know the basic applications that are exist in their computer to facilitate learning. Here is the list of some programs and applications that both of students and teachers can use them with little explanation and most important features.

Microsoft word:

This program is one of the most used programs for word processing in educational institutions and enabled the teacher to use this program in all disciplines of education and the importance of the program because it works to give the following skills: (print _ text formatting _ develop the ability to think creatively in writing) and other skills that benefit them

For teacher:

• They can use this program to write the exams for students, such as quizzes, mid-terms, finals.
  
• It helps to send a soft copy of the activities which have been use in the class.
  
• Helps to make schedule to divided the students into groups.
  
• helps to write an important note of the subject, which helps the students to remember them. The teacher may use the Bold tool for it. Or underline tool.
  
• The teacher may use the centerline to correct the soft copy of the homework.
  
• Use balloon tool to write the correction.
  
• The teacher may use color tool or different font to make some differences, for example define word .. sentences .. structure
  
• Helps the students to write their researches.

• Teacher may create cover page for copy lessons, or for the students reports or assignments.

This website is wealthy of vocabularies, it includes:

• Dictionary à gives meaning of the word, types of the word, sound of the word, how to use the word, synonyms of the word, antonyms of the word.
  
• Word game à provides many games to challenge the user's vocabularies.
  
• Word of the day à helps students to learn new word and it's pronunciation and history of it.
  
• Video à helps students to know the appropriate way of using specific word, to learn slang words, and correct sounds of some words.
  
  
   

Blogs

Using Blogs to create a classroom blog to share student news, events, and homework assignments with parents, or send them to the teachers.

• Blog may contains some features, such as: lessons, assignments and schedules of trips.
  
• May contains the date of the text, so the teachers or students know when is the last update.
  
• After uploaded the text , the users may right their comments. For example, the teacher uploading the lesson, the students have the right to write their comments or asking the teacher.
  
• The teacher or students may upload videos for more information about some lesson. For example: grammar, pronunciation and listening.
  
• Motivating to students, especially those who might not become participants in classroom.
